1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the ErrandPal mobile application, the ErrandPal website, and related support flows. ErrandPal helps people publish, discover, discuss, and complete short real-world tasks with nearby helpers.

By using the service, you acknowledge that this policy explains the data practices connected with those features. The policy does not replace the User Terms, Transaction Rules, or any required notices presented during a specific flow.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, password credentials handled by the authentication service, account identifier, consent records, and session information.
  • Profile information: display name, profile photo, biography, city, district, ratings, fulfilment history, and optional identity verification results. Identity submissions are designed to keep only masked identity fields and the required verification object reference.
  • Task and fulfilment information: titles, descriptions, categories, timing, manually selected city and place, task images, fee details, applications, orders, completion events, disputes, and reviews.
  • Conversation information: text messages, images, voice messages you choose to record and send, delivery status, read state, and related task identifiers.
  • Safety and support information: reports, blocks, dispute tickets, evidence you choose to upload, feedback, and the contact details you include in a support request.
  • Device and diagnostic information: information needed to deliver the service, protect accounts, troubleshoot failures, and record essential security events. ErrandPal does not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.
  • Purchase information: store product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase state, and the platform-scoped account token required to verify digital exposure credits. ErrandPal does not receive your full payment card number from Apple or Google.

3. How we use information

  • Provide account access, profiles, task discovery, matching, chat, fulfilment, reviews, and support.
  • Use the city and place you select to filter tasks and calculate directory-based distance estimates.
  • Process images, voice messages, identity checks, reports, and disputes when you actively use those features.
  • Protect users, investigate abuse, enforce community rules, handle payment and fulfilment records, and respond to lawful requests.
  • Verify purchases and grant digital exposure credits only after the trusted store verification service confirms the transaction.
  • Improve reliability and understand failures using limited diagnostics. We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated advertising.

4. Permissions and location

ErrandPal requests camera, photo library, microphone, and notification access only when you actively use the related feature. The system permission dialog is the authorization step. You can deny a permission and continue using features that do not need it.

ErrandPal does not automatically read your GPS location. You choose a city and a place from the in-app directory. The selected place and its directory coordinates are used as the reference for task matching and distance estimates. You can change or clear that choice in the app.

5. Sharing and service providers

We share information only when needed to provide the service, protect users, or comply with law:

  • After a match, the task details and contact or place information needed for fulfilment are shown to the relevant participants.
  • Cloud hosting, file storage, authentication, notification, identity verification, payment, and store services process information on our instructions or under their own published terms.
  • Apple and Google receive the purchase information required to process and verify App Store or Google Play transactions.
  • We may disclose information to lawful authorities, professional advisers, or a successor in a merger or asset transfer when legally permitted and necessary.

We do not share personal information with data brokers, sell it for advertising, or use it to track you across other apps and websites.

6. Retention and account deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, protect users, maintain accounting records, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type.

You can request account deletion from Settings > Account & privacy. We verify the request, remove account and user-owned content that can be deleted, and keep only records that must remain for legal, payment, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons. Deletion may remove your profile, tasks, chats, media, reviews, and permission state from active service views and cannot be undone.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, copy, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw device permissions in system settings and change the place you selected in the app.

Use the privacy rights flow under Account & privacy to submit an access, correction, copy, or deletion request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Where local law gives you a right to appeal a decision, we will explain how to do that in our response.

8. Security

We use access controls, authenticated requests, scoped records, signed media URLs, masked identity fields, and transaction verification to reduce unauthorized access. No service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe an account or task is at risk, contact us promptly through in-app Safety & appeals.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be shown in the app or on this page and may require renewed consent. The version and effective date at the top identify the policy currently published here.

10. Contact

For privacy questions or rights requests, email deezal723@icloud.com or open a ticket under Safety & appeals in the app.

General support: support@errandpal.app.

Before public release: confirm the legal operator and jurisdiction, and have the final policy reviewed for the launch markets.
